Alan Custis, Head of UK equity at Lazard Asset Management for nearly two decades, has departed as the company merged its UK equities team into the European equities team. Custis, who joined Lazard in 2004, played a key role in managing several funds, including Managed Balanced, Managed Equity, Multicap UK Income, and UK Omega funds, while also contributing to the now-closed Lazard UK Smaller Companies fund.

The European equities team will now be overseen by Aaron Barnfather, who manages the Lazard European Alpha fund and the Lazard European Equity fund, with Alan Clifford, Custis’s co-manager, reporting to Barnfather.
