Following a career lasting nearly 40 years Jupiter have announced that Richard Buxton will retire from fund management at the end of summer 2023. Management of the portfolios he manages will be passed to Ed Meier and Errol Francis, continuing to employ the UK Alpha Strategy that has been in place since 2002.

In 2001 Buxton was Head of UK Equities at Schroders where he pioneered the high-conviction investment approach that he has become known for. Buxton worked with Francis prior to joining Schroders, and the pair were joined at Schroders by Meier in January 2006. In 2013 the trio moved to Old Mutual Global Investors, where they continued to employ their UK Alpha strategy.
