Sajiv Vaid will step down from the fixed income strategies that he manages on the 30th of September 2023, taking on an advisory role until the end of the year when he will officially retire. Kris Atkinson will then be promoted to lead portfolio manager on the funds he has co-managed with Vaid for the last five years and he will be joined by Shamil Pankhania; who has been recruited from HSBC.

Together they will manage the Fidelity Sustainable Money Builder Income, Short-Dated Corporate Bond, Extra Income, Sustainable Climate Bond and Global Corporate Bond funds. Pankhania will also join Atkinson and Ian Fishwick to co-manage the group’s Sterling Corporate Bond, Sustainable UK Aggregate Bond and Long Dated Sterling Corporate Bond funds.
